Amy Winehouse Drops Album From Beyond The Grave

Amy Winehouse drops posthumous album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, December 5 worlwide

Nov 01, 2011

As a final eulogy to herself,  late soul diva, Amy Winehouse’s record label,  Island Records will release a posthumous album of her last few recordings on December 5. Called Lioness: Hidden Treasures, the 12-track album contains previously unreleased work that the artiste had been working on putting down since she first broke onto the scene in 2003 with her debut album Frank.

The announcement was made on Winehouse’s blog this morning, which read. “Following her tragic passing in July, some of the producers and musicians who worked closely with Amy, among them Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi,  spent time listening over the many recordings that Amy had made, before, during, and after the release of Frank and Back To Black.  It was said by all who worked with Amy that she never sang or played a song the same way twice. It quickly became apparent to Salaam and Mark that they had a collection of songs that were a fitting testament to Amy the artiste.”

The final tracklist of the album

1. ‘Our Day Will Come’
2. ‘Between The Cheats’
3. ‘Tears Dry’
4. ‘Wake Up Alone’
5. ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’
6. ‘Valerie’
7. ‘Like Smoke’
8. ‘The Girl From Ipanema’
9. ‘Halftime’
10. ‘Best Friends’
11. ‘Body & Soul’
12. Amy’s final studio recording. ‘A Song For You’
