Producer and singer Boots saved a Beyoncé-sized surprise for the last track of his Winter Spring Summer Fall mixtape: a duet with Beyoncé titled “Dreams.” The track is a slow-building, strangely hypnotic and, of course, dreamy five-minute love song that finds Boots professing his lifelong love for someone. A strong, passionate performance by Beyoncé begins halfway through, and luckily for Boots, it sounds like she’s been dreaming of him, too.

Boots and Beyoncé’s partnership began with the surprise release of Beyoncé in late 2013. The record featured six songs he cowrote and coproduced, including “Haunted,” “Jealous” and “Heaven.” His inclusion on the album introduced him to the world.

“So this is the last song on my mixtape,” Boots wrote of “Dreams” on Facebook. “My friend and I recorded it recently and while we were trying to figure out what to do with it, we had an idea.” That revelation was to donate proceeds from the sale of the song to the charity Day One, whose mission is addressing the issue of teen dating violence. “I feel that protecting women from these horrible and unthinkable acts should take precedence in our society,” Boots wrote. “I feel passionate about this because if more women knew that safe places existed from the turmoil they experience, it could possibly prevent these situations from occurring or reoccurring.” In his words, “every cent” made from the song will benefit the charity.

Boots closed his post by expressing how grateful he was for what he has achieved. “I’ve experienced a lot in my life ”“ good and bad,” he wrote. “But through it all, I’m certain every one of those things had to happen to get me right where I am today. I feel very fortunate for that.”
