Beyoncé is a singer, actress, businesswoman and mother, and in a new interview, the multi-talented 31-year-old calls herself a “modern-day feminist.” “I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are?” she told the British version of Vogue, as noted by the Huffington Post. “Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman.”

“I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it’s something that’s pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept,” she added. Though she recently caught flack for naming her upcoming tour the “Mrs. Carter Show,” a nod to her husband Jay-Z’s real surname, she stood her ground on her decision. “I feel like Mrs. Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I’ve ever been,” she said. “It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, ”˜OK, this is what you were born to do’. The purpose of my body became completely different.”

Beyoncé also posted a mysterious six-second trailer, featuring the singer checking herself out as her apparently cybernetic hand spins and transforms. The short snippet touts a 9 a.m. EST reveal for tomorrow morning, with a #BeyHereNow hashtag. It’s likely to be related to her forthcoming new album.
