David Guetta, who is widely regarded as one of the main reasons for EDM’s crossover to the mainstream, has just released the much-anticipated  sixth studio album Listen. Besides being his most confessional album, Listen is also the Grammy-winning DJ and producer’s most pop-centric.

Featuring collaborations with a lineup that includes hip-hop, rock and pop artists such as The Script, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Sia and more, Listen swaps hard beats for piano strings. Speaking to Rolling Stone in October, the 47-year-old called the album “his most personal album,” indicating that most of the songwriting was based on his split with his wife of 20 years, Cathy.

Between tracks such as “Shot Me Down” with American pop artist Skylar Grey, “What I Did For Love,” which includes vocals from British singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé or “Blast Off” which features Australian DJ and Rapper Kaz James, Listen has a lineup of artists who are at the top of their game. The combination of Guetta’s ability to spin dancefloor magic and to help collaborators do their best, is what will make the 14-track album a guaranteed hit.
