Demonic Resurrection, Avial and Agam Head to Chennai for The Music Festival’s Second Edition
The festival will host 10 artists across two weekends at Chennai’s Egmore Museum Theatre

Back in February this year, Chennai-based events and artist management company Amaranta Entertainment kicked off the first edition of  the imaginatively-titled festival, The Music Festival. While the first edition showcased college bands such as metallers Paradox and a cappella group Pitch Please, along with headline acts such as electro rock band The F16s, the second edition includes bigger bands such as extreme metallers Demonic Resurrection [DR] taking stage in Chennai.
DR, fresh off their Europe tour and having launched their fourth album, The Demon King, will perform alongside Bengaluru-based folk metallers The Down Troddence [TDT], who took home eight out of 13 trophies at the fifth edition of the Rolling Stone Metal Awards. While DR and TDT will perform together on August 16th, The Music Festival also includes gigs on three other days across two weekends, with The F16s and rock act Live Banned slated to play on the opening night of August 9th. Bengaluru Carnatic prog rockers Agam, fusion rock band Lagori and rock ’n roll band Skrat will perform on August 10th, while Malayalam rock band Avial, Bengaluru psychedelic rock band Parvaaz and singer-songwriter Soundarya Jayachandran close The Music Festival on August 17th.
