Five Holi Music Festivals On Our Radar

We’re scared to ask what a festival named Holishit will sound like, but scatological references aside, how wrong can one go with a combination of Bollywood and electronica? But if you’re wondering which fest to attend during this long Holi weekend, we’ve got just the list to help you out.

1. Holi Reloaded, JVPD Grounds, Mumbai
March 6th, Regular Pass Rs. 1,250/-, VIP Rs. 2000/-

The third edition of Holi Reloaded has lined up a mix of international and Indian electronica artists. Some of the artists include Netherlands-based DJ duo Mightyfools and progressive trance producer Estiva, Indian electronic producer Ankytrixx, Mumbai-based DJ duo Beyond 120, and the sassy Mumbai-based girl-DJ duo The Elektrovertz.

2. Holi Smoke! Festival, Siddh Resort, Udaipur
March 6th, Girls/Couple/Family entry Rs. 700/-, General Entry Rs.1000, VIP Rs. 3000 (including F&B)

Udaipur’s very first day-long music festival on the day of Holi will be a mix of world music, global fusion and tribal techno. Headlined by Delhi-based electro-rock duo Fuzz Culture, the festival will also feature Delhi based artists like desi rock-n-roll Faridkot.

3. The Lost Party, Lavasa, March 6th-8th
March 6th-8th, Season Passes Rs.2999/-

At this two-day music and lifestyle festival in Lavasa, over 30 artists are slated to perform at two stages including drum n’ bass music producer and headliner Nucleya, Hindi rock band Ankur Tewari and the Ghalat Family, A ca pella group Voctronica, Delhi-based reggae and dancehall artists Reggae Rajahs, German deep house and techno producer Martin Roth and Malayali alt-rock band Avial.

4. Holi Cow! Festival, Holi Cow! Barn, Maple Town & Country Club, New Delhi
March 6th, By invitation only

Delhi’s well known multi-genre music festival may still be keeping the complete artist lineup under the wraps but their expansive lineup of 30 artists  includes Grain a.k.a. Gaurav Raina of Midival Punditz featuring Rajasthani folk musician Nathu Lal Solanki, percussionist Stefan Kaye’s solo DJ project Flexi K, drum n’ bass producer Dub Vaanar and trap and dubstep producer DJ Rufu Mofo among others.

5. Holishit Music Festival, Garden of Five Senses, Delhi.
March 6th, Tickets Rs. 1000 /-

Finally, the day-long Holishit festival boasts of 20 different artists across three stages, featuring a mix of EDM, club, commercial and Bollywood music. Some of the artists include electronica duo Progressive Brothers, solo project Terrazak, and the three-piece Kodeheads.
