“When I was 14 years old, I started playing the saxophone,” says Francesco Artusato, guitarist of American deathcore band All Shall Perish. “But that didn’t go too well.” The saxophone’s loss was heavy metal’s gain as Berklee graduate Artusato picked up the guitar and found his way into All Shall Perish in 2010. Artusato was at the PALM Expo on June 1st in Mumbai as an Ibanez endorsee, playing his first ever India clinic. Rolling Stone India caught up with the guitarist to talk about his beginnings in music, metal and his inspirations.
