Free Download: Limit Zero’s New Single “Miles Of Sun”

The Bengaluru-based prog metallers return with their first new material since 2012, featuring Bhayanak Maut vocalist Sunneith Revankar

Sep 02, 2015

Around the same time last week that Delhi prog metallers Skyharbor released their new single “Out of Time,” Bengaluru-based prog metal act Limit Zero ”“ comprising guitarist Shreyas Skandan, vocalist Sunneith Revankar [from Mumbai-based metal band Bhayanak Maut] and guitarist Arjun Mulky [from metallers Eccentric Pendulum] ”“ also announced their new song, “Miles Of Sun.”

The song is Limit Zero’s first release since their full-length album Gravestone Constellations came out in 2012. “Miles Of Sun” has been mixed and mastered by Skyharbor’s Keshav Dhar, who along with Mumbai vocalist Siddharth Basrur, had featured on Gravestone Constellations. For this new track, Limit Zero also roped in American guitarist Joe Marro who has played a starry-eyed jazz fusion solo on it. Marro previously worked with Skandan on his solo project’s debut EP, contributing on the track “Astron Nomos.”

Sonically, Limit Zero start off blistering on their new song, their longest yet at 5:46 minutes, with Revankar laying down the growls. But Revankar gets to show off his range as a clean vocalist later on as well, as Mulky and Skandan battle with riffs. Says Mulky about the release of “Miles Of Sun”, “It took some time to gain some momentum after Gravestone Constellations considering Shreyas and I were working on different projects; Shreyas released his solo album and I was focusing most of my time on Eccentric Pendulum. There were also a lot of work-related priorities to tend to. Since Sunneith moved to Bangalore recently, it was pretty simple to sit down and take this track forward, so that was a huge bonus.” Although Skandan has moved to Philadelphia for studies, Mulky says “there is definitely more brewing at the Limit Zero camp.”
