Medusa is an electro-rock act from Mumbai. The band originally started out as a progressive rock outfit and self-released a debut album Survival Of The Fittestin 2005. Soon after, the band went through several lineup changes and settled on a sound that infused elements of electronica in alternative rock. In 2008, the band was selected as one of four Indian acts to record with British producer John Leckie as part of the British Council’s Soundpad project. They also played a short tour of the UK in support of the same. The quartet is currently working on a new album.
They incorporate electronic elements alongside the more traditional vocal / guitar / drums set-up and are influenced by a wide range of contemporary music.
The band comprises of ”” Raxit (Vocals/Samples), Rahul (Guitar/Samples), Siddharth (Bass) and Harsh (Drums).
