New Addition To The Great Indian Music Festival – M.A.D.

Three day music, arts and dance fest, called M.A.D. Festival to be held in Ooty from April 5 to 7.

Making sure the music never stops, Bengaluru-based marketing communications company, Cobalt announced a new festival called M.A.D which is slated to take place from April 5 to 7 at Fernhill Palace, Ooty.

The three-day festival hopes to showcase a mix of traditional and contemporary music, arts, dance (acronym M.A.D.); from across and beyond the country.

The first edition of the festival will feature well-known artists like Raghu Dixit Project, Indian Ocean, Thermal and a Quarter, Skinny Alley, The Bicycle Days, Peter Cat Recording Co along with an eclectic mix of artists from overseas like Hindi Zahra from France and No Blues from Amsterdam. Shizophonic and Sulk Station will take care of the after hours.

The festival is spread over two stages The crossover between these two stages will be the M.A.Dd Bazaar consisting of 50 stalls, which the organizers are still curating. The organizers also promise workshops, to be facilitated  by renowned artists and field experts, during the course of ones stay at the festival. One has to register on the festival’s website to participate in workshops of music, dance, yoga, photography, and juggling.

The tickets for the festival is up on their website themadfestival.com A one-day pass is for Rs 999 and a three day pass is for Rs 1,999. They also offer camping at the venue in budget (price not disclosed yet) and luxurious options (Rs 49,000 for two people for three nights).
