As if expanding to five cities wasn’t enough, annual music festival Bacardi NH7 Weekender casts its net even wider this year, aiming for newer towns over mainstays such as New Delhi and Bengaluru.

The seventh edition of Weekender keeps its date with Pune [December 2nd to 4th] and will return to Shillong [October 21st and 22nd], but skips Delhi and Bengaluru for the first time since it was introduced in 2012. Expansion is definitely the main focus this year, with Weekender setting up in Hyderabad for the first time, on November 5th and 6th.

Kolkata, which featured as a major festival stop for the last two editions, now scales down to an “express edition”, which features artists performing at the Bacardi Arena mainstage. The day-long express edition will also set up in newer cities such as Mysore, Nagpur, Jaipur and Puducherry, although dates are yet to be announced. NH7 Weekender is also planning Bacardi Club Nights in the run-up to the festival editions, as well as house parties that fans can register to host. Organizers Only Much Louder [OML]’s CEO Vijay Nair said in a statement, “Every year we aim to give fans something new as part of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender experience – whether that’s taking it to new cities, or introducing new stages and features, or adding something new to the festival’s canon – and this year is no different.” A spokesperson for OML added that the success of Pune and Shillong editions have led them to concentrate on building the shows in those cities into bigger festivals.

While the lineup will take a few more weeks to launch, tickets are now on sale until July 27th for an early bird price, with Pune tickets selling for Rs 2,500 [General] and Rs 1,490 [Under 21] and tickets for Shillong Weekender priced at Rs 1,000 [General] and Rs 600 [Under 21]. The Hyderabad edition tickets are available for Rs 2,000 [General] and Rs 1,000 [Under 21].
