Mumbai fusion electro rock band Paratra, who released their second album Testament earlier this year, are making headway in Europe next summer.

The four member band comprising guitarist Samron Jude, sitarist Akshat Deora, vocalist Siddharth Basrur and drummer Aritra Basu, are supporting Israel’s veteran metallers Orphaned Land on their We Do Not Resist tour between April 4th and 28th, playing 22 shows in seven countries. They will be joined by Israeli prog metallers Subterranean Masquerade.

Jude, who has already toured the U.S. with metallers Systemhouse33, says, “Paratra has been trying to tour for the past couple of years and have been searching for analogous bands and finally got connected with the management of Orphaned Land.  They really liked our sound and offered us to be a part of this amazing tour.”

The Europe tour, in support of Testament and their 2017 debut album Genesis, runs through Germany, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain and Belgium. Jude confirms that they’ll bring their regular live act, which includes Basrur (also part of alt metallers Goddess Gagged) and Basu (part of metallers Yonsample). Jude adds, “Our live setup will be very unique this time with Indian elements along with some electronic parts and heavy synths. We may also play some new tracks for the upcoming album we are working on.”
