The inaugural edition of Chennai’s fortnightly music series, Purple Fest, saw a performance by Chennai garage rock trio, Skrat. The Chennai band, who has recently returned from touring Bengaluru and Mumbai, performed in their hometown after a hiatus of six months. Comprising T.T. Sriram on the vocals and guitar, Satish Narayanan on the bass and Tapass Naresh on drums, the band were the perfect kickstarters for the show, delivering a tight set that went on for close to two hours.

The second edition of Purple Fest, slated to take place on May 31st will feature a performance by blues band, Blues Conscience, who recently released their debut album, Down & Dirty.
