Photos: Split, Sky Rabbit and SkyDrops at JD Rock Awards presents Rolling Stone Jam Sessions
Three Mumbai artists jammed out in Pune in the run up to the Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards
SkyDrops filled in the keys on Sky Rabbit’s “Who’s Your Daddy,” Split’s “60 Seconds” got mashed up with the verses from American electro band LCD Soundsystem’s “Movement,” a mellow “Fat Oaf” steadily kicked into gear and Split vocalist Garreth D’Mello brought out his harmonica for “Hilltop.” Up on the 14th floor of Penthouze Night Life, alternative rock band Split, electro post-punk band Sky Rabbit and ambient/electronica artist SkyDrops aka Nigel Rajaratnam endured a chilly breeze the entire day.
With enough beverages to warm up, Split played a raucous 40-minute set, including Dischordian guitarist Howard Pereira’s mandolin jam with them on “Belief” and “My House,” which you can listen to here
