Quinn Sullivan To Perform At Mahindra Blues Fest 2015

Teen guitar wonder Sullivan joins the lineup for the fest, slated for early next year, which includes heavy hitters such as Buddy Guy and Doyle Bramhall II

American blues guitarist Doyle Bramhall II and legendary blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy, will return to play at the fifth edition of the Mahindra Blues Fest, which has also lined up a few surprises. The most recent addition to the lineup is American singer and guitarist Quinn Sullivan.

A blues prodigy, Sullivan has been has been performing with guitar heroes such as Eric Clapton and BB King since he was eight. The 15-year-old guitarist, who contributed to Buddy Guy’s Grammy-nominated album album Skin Deep in 2008, has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in across the United States including Madison Square Garden in New York and the Orpheum Theatre in Boston. After the release of his first single “Summer of Love” in 2009, Sullivan released his debut album Cyclone in 2011. Since then, the artist has been touring across North America and Europe in support of his second release, Getting There.

Sullivan will perform with his band at Mahindra Blues Fest, in addition to playing with Buddy Guy. Speaking to Rolling Stone about the Crossroads Guitar Festival held last year, Guy had one thing to say about the young artist: “Players like him come along once in a lifetime.”
