Russell Peters To Tour India This October
The “somebody’s going to get hurt real bad” man brings his new show to four cities, tickets go on sale from September 3rd
In July, when ROLLING STONE India met funnyman Russell Peters ahead of a show in Portland, as part of the Notorious World Tour, he had first mentioned bringing his tour to India. The news is now confirmed as Peters tours four cities starting October 25th in Delhi. The Canadian-Indian comedian will also perform in Mumbai on October 27th, Chennai on October 29th and Bengaluru on October 31st. After selling out tickets for the comedian’s Bengaluru and Mumbai shows, organizers have added a Mumbai show on October 26th and on November 1st in Bengaluru.
Peters, who is known for politically incorrect observational comedy, has previously toured India on three occasions between 2006 and 2008. His latest show, Notorious, looks beyond covering his favorite themes such as race and culture. The 42-year-old had told ROLLING STONE India that his latest tour is personal and deals with “being a faÂther, divorced and stuff like that.” He had said, “It’s more about fatherhood and how it changes you and stuff like that. You know, I am one of those comics who, when I would hear a comic start talking about his kids, I’d be like, ”˜Ugh, that’s going to be a snore fest.’ But when Louis (CK) talks about his kids, that’s just funny, so it made me hopeÂful. Like, you can make this funny but you have to make it real.”
