Simple Plan To Headline Mood Indigo
The Canadian rockers will headline the annual rock show, Livewire Nights, put up by students of IIT BombayNews & Updates October 09, 2012
Canadian rock band Simple Plan will headline IIT Bombay’s annual fest Mood Indigo with a performance during the institute’s Livewire Night on December 22nd, 2012. Over the past three years, Mood Indigo has seen the likes of Australian prog rock band Karnivool, Swedish metallers Katatonia and Brit prog rockers Porcupine Tree as headliners.
This year, the Montreal-based Juno Awards winners will be performing in the country for the first time. Frontman and vocalist Pierre Bouvier, as most other musicians who visit this country, has “heard a lot about India’s culture and food and really looking forward to experience it firsthand.”
While we were sorely disappointed that Bouvier didn’t mention sitar and Ravi Shankar in his press note, we’re happy to report that the registration for the gig will cost Rs 699 for college students and Rs 999 for non-students. If you are one of the first 250 who are registering for the gig, then you get early bird discounts where you can register for Rs 599 for college students and Rs 699 for non-students. You can register here.
The organizing committee at Mood Indigo is organizing a Twitter interaction with the band tonight at 8.30 pm IST on their Twitter handle @iitb_moodi
