Watch Johnny Depp Join Marilyn Manson for ‘The Beautiful People’

Die Antwoord rapper Ninja also joins the actor and the shock rocker to perform “The Beautiful People”

Nov 06, 2014

Marilyn Manson performed at Los Angeles’ the Roxy on Halloween night, and for the concert’s encore, the shock rocker brought out both actor Johnny Depp and Die Antwoord’s Ninja to join him for “The Beautiful People.” Depp holds his own on guitar as Manson and Ninja parade around the stage to perform the Antichrist Superstar single (via Consequence of Sound).

This isn’t the first time Manson and Depp have performed together. The duo previously hit the stage at the 4th Annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards in 2012, and Depp provided guitar on Manson’s cover of Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” that was released as a bonus track.

It’s been an especially active year for Depp the musician as 2014 has seen the 51-year-old actor rock out with Aerosmith, jam with Paul McCartney, briefly join the New Basement Tapes, noodle around with Willie Nelson, cover Danzig with Ryan Adams and hit the studio for Butch Walker’s upcoming LP.

Manson is also a constant at Depp’s red carpet premieres. Their friendship dates back to at least 1999’s Sleepy Hollow, and since then Manson has popped up at the premieres of Depp-starring films like 2001’s From Hell, 2006’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, 2011’s The Rum Diary and this year’s Transcendence.

Manson recently unveiled his catchy yet depressing new single “Third Day of a Seven Day Binge,” the first single off Manson’s 2015-bound new album and his first LP since 2012’s Born Villain. The rocker also made an appearance on Sons of Anarchy earlier this year in the role of a white supremacist.
