2025 Golden Globes Red Carpet: Cynthia Erivo, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and more stars shine

The Golden Globes kicked off the 2025 awards season on Sunday, Jan. 5. Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, the event’s 82nd ceremony honors the best television series and films of the year alongside the greatest performances. For film, Emilia Pérez led all the film nominees with 10 nods. On TV, The Bear garnered the most nominations with five. Launching the celebration, the stars arrived in style on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Here’s a roundup of the stunning looks that made the Globes carpet this year.

Actress extraordinaire Cate Blanchett was on display on the Golden Globes red carpet in a floor-length gold gown, almost looking like an award statue herself. Dazzling in her gleaming dress featuring sparkling jewels along the top, Blanchett is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series for acting in Apple TV+’s Disclaimer.

Maren Morris

Maren Morris is repping for Nashville at Sunday night’s Golden Globes! The country star, who’s nominated for Best Original Song for “Kiss the Sky” from The Wild Robot, walked the red carpet in a simple, crimson Carolina Herrera dress accessorized with a custom natural diamond-encrusted choker and earrings from Jared Atelier.

Monica Barbaro

Joan Baez, oh wait, Monica Barbaro just pulled up to the Golden Globes. The A Complete Unknown actress hit the red carpet in a strapless, Christian Dior gray dress with a gorgeous necklace. Her Bob Dylan biopic is nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama tonight.

Glen Powell

Heartthrob Glen Powell was one of the first stars to grace the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday evening, joined by both of his parents. Nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for playing the role of Gary Johnson in Hit Man, Powell showed up and showed out in an all-black suit — without the formality of a tie — and sunglasses.

Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia Erivo, one of the biggest headliners at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, showed up to the red carpet in a jaw-dropping custom Louis Vuitton dress. Poised to walk away with the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture in the Musical or Comedy category for Wicked, Erivo stunned in her black-and-white floral gown and her classic long nails decorated in multi-colors and jewels.

Jeremy Strong

It was impossible to miss Jeremy Strong’s outfit on the Golden Globes red carpet. The actor, who’s nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for playing Donald Trump’s lawyer Roy Cohen in The Apprentice, Strong showed up in a mint green velvet suit and matching bucket hat along with a white turtleneck.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson said she was getting over a cold on the red carpet, but no one could tell. The actress-singer — who’s presenting at Sunday’s awards show — stunned in a navy Carolina Herrera dress and a “very Titanic” necklace. She wore her hair up and shared her excitement for starring in Running Point, Mindy Kaling’s comedy series about a basketball team’s front office.

Amy Adams

Amy Adams got her daughter’s stamp of approval before heading the red carpet tonight: “She gave me the thumbs up on the way out,” she told ET and Variety of her wine-hued, strapless dress. An awards season veteran, Queer’s Daniel Craig joined the Golden Globes red carpet in a classic black velvet suit, rocking a long black tie and sunglasses. Craig is nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for playing the role of William Lee in Queer, directed by Luca Guadagnino.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez

It’s Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s first Golden Globes, and he went all-out with a stunning monochrome Versace wine-colored suit paired with Cartier jewelry. The actor’s show Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is up for a Golden Globe for Best Limited Series, while his co-stars Cooper Koch and Javier Bardem are up for Actor and Supporting Actor awards.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet walked into the 2025 Golden Globes with five previous awards under her belt — and she might come out with two more tonight. The iconic actress walked the red carpet in a gorgeous pearl-colored suit with sparkly, black embellishments. The actress is up for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her role in HBO’s The Regime and Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture for playing the titular role in Lee. “It’s an amazing year for women, so to be a part of it is quite special,” she told ET.

After years of attending the Golden Globes for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in ABC’s long-running Modern Family, this time Sofia Vergara stopped by the awards show’s red carpet on Sunday night as a nominee for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series for Television in Netflix’s Griselda. Dressed in a sparkling black gown, Vergara accessorized her look with a diamond choker as well as diamond rings.

While not technically on the red carpet, we’d be remiss to not include Selena Gomez at the Golden Globes with her fiancé Benny Blanco. A two-time Golden Globe nominee this year alone, Gomez showed up to the awards show in a Cinderella-esque gown, with a diamond statement necklace gracing her neck. Gomez is nominated for acting roles in two separate projects: Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building and Netflix’s Emilia Pérez
