Technically taking place a day after World Music Day (on June 22nd), Hyderabad event company The Whole Shebang has put together renowned and newly established artists on the same stage at Olive Bar and Kitchen. Carnatic/fusion violinist Jyotsna Srikanth, who set up base in London and quickly became one of Europe’s well-known fusion artists, joins her British counterpart, violinist Robert Atchison. Their set will cross between European classical as well as Carnatic, featuring percussionist-drummer Karthik Mani and keyboardist Shadrach Solomon. Also blurring the lines of Western-origin music and Indian strains, Mumbai-based singer-songwriter and keyboardist Aditi Ramesh and her band will perform a supporting set, just as they prep for their new EP.
