The Apple Music exclusives feature fresh tracks from Shubha Mudgal, Nucleya, Monica Dogra and Kush Upadhyay
Bridge of Dreams is a collaborative nine-track fusion album recorded by Indian and Australian musicians. Spearheading the LP is Hindustani vocalist-composer Shubha Mudgal who provides us with soulful melodies and ragas. The juxtaposition of jazz and Indian classical music is beautifully arranged throughout the record by saxophonist Sandy Evans, tabla player Aneesh Pradhan and Sydney-based Sirens Big Band’s juicy horn sections.
After releasing her solo album Spit two years ago, Indo-American vocalist Monica Dogra is back with a brand new six-track EPÂ Seeing Red. On the new record, Dogra blends bass and trap music along with her harmonic vocal delivery to create a dance heavy EP.
21-year-old Mumbai guitarist Kush Upadhyay is out with his fourth record, the five-track Soon You’ll See The Old. The star studded EP features drummer Jai Row Kavi, bassist Nathan Thomas and vocalist Azamaan Hoyvoy. Updahyay’s soaring guitar solos feature heavily over the entire record.
Desi bass king Nucleya’s upcoming eight-track album Tota Myna is being released in a piecemeal fasion, one song at a time. With three tracks already out, the collaborations on the record include Mumbai-based singer Vibha Saraf on “Lori,” hip-hop artist Raftaar and New Delhi vocalist Rashmeet Kaur on “Mirza” as well as Avneet Khurmi and Soltan on “Sohneya.”
