We're currently listening to music from The Boyz, Stray Kids, Everglow, H1GHR Music and more
Known for their explosive and intricately crafted lead singles, Stray Kids don’t disappoint with “Back Door,” a high-energy EDM party anthem. Composed by the group’s own producing unit 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) “Back Door” is extremely difficult to get out of your head thanks to its catchy and saucy instrumental pre-chorus.
The girl group present a brand new dark side of themselves with the Eighties electro synth-pop single “La Di Da” off their new EP -77.82X-78.29. Co-written by the group’s leader E:U, the track is about tuning out haters and enjoying your own success. The music video is particularly striking, filmed in a blend of Forties film noir and Eighties post-apocalyptical grunge, featuring the members of Everglow as femme fatales.
Refreshingly nostalgic with its early-2000s R&B style, “Afternoon” is a stand out track on H1GHR Music’s collective album Blue Tape. The video is possibly one of the most endearing from the label yet, with Jay Park, Golden and pH-1 portraying high school basketball players attempting to win a girl’s heart with sleek dance and basketball moves.
This rookie group make a stupendous return after a year of inactivity with the otherworldly “Shoot The Moon,” diving into a pretty combination of acoustic riffs and deep house to lead up to soaring vocals. It’s definitely a more elegant, darker vibe for the trio and works wonders to help build their identity as artists.
One of the most dynamic releases of the year, The Boyz’ “The Stealer” blends contemporary hip-hop with funk to dramatic effect. It’s upbeat, powerful and sways from one sound to another, constantly surprising the audience on each listen, building the 11-member group’s reputation as one of the leaders of the fourth generation of K-pop.
