50 Cent will perform in India in November as part of his The Final Lap Tour
Nearly 20 years after the release of his breakout album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, American hip-hop star, actor and entrepreneur 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson III will perform in Mumbai on November 25th as part of his ongoing The Final Lap Tour.
Performing at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, this show marks the “In Da Club” rapper’s return to India after more than 15 years. He made his debut India performance in Mumbai in November 2007. 50 Cent said on Instagram as he announced the news, “Namaste India, it’s your boy 50. I got fresh news for you. I’m coming to Mumbai, India in November. It’s going down, the Final Lap Tour.”
A worldwide tour that’s spanning multiple continents, registrations for ticket access has now started up. The event – put together by promoters Tracktical Concerts and VJP, adds that “it will also feature supporting performances by globally renowned Indian and international hip-hop and urban acts.”
50 Cent broke into mainstream consciousness with songs like “In Da Club,” “21 Questions,” “P.I.M.P.,” “Disco Inferno,” “Candy Shop” and repped his New York roots throughout in his rap. Mentored by the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent became a formative influence for several of today’s Indian hip-hop stars, so we’ll likely see a full house.
