While performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, Adele shared that she has quit drinking.

“I stopped drinking maybe like three and a half months ago,” she told the crowd in attendance at her Vegas residency, via the Guardian. “It’s boring. I mean, I was literally borderline alcoholic for quite a lot of my 20s, but I miss it so much.”

“So enjoy your whiskey sour. I’m very, very jealous,” Adele quipped to a fan.

When speaking with Vogue in 2021, the “Easy on Me” singer-songwriter opened up about grappling with fame and said that she considered leaving music at one point.

“I got really famous right as Amy Winehouse died,” she elaborated, adding “And we watched her die right in front of our eyes.” Adele shared that she worried about spinning out of control herself. “I’ve always had a very close relationship with alcohol. I was always very fascinated by alcohol,” she told the publication. “It’s what kept my dad from me. So I always wanted to know what was so great about it.”

In a 2021 interview with Rolling Stone, Adele said she previously gave up drinking for six months, tired of the constant “hangxiety” following the announcement of her divorce.

Adele’s original Las Vegas run was postponed by nearly a year, with the singer canceling those shows at the last-minute in January 2022 after deeming the concerts were “not good enough.” The Weekends With Adele residency finally hit the Strip in November 2022, while a new leg of her residency kicked off in June and is set to wrap in November.
