The second season of the show will feature different composers directing each episode

The second season of Coke Studio @ MTV kicks off next month and two ROLLING STONE India readers will get an opportunity to witness the shoot of the first episode featuring composer Amit Trivedi (Dev.D., No One Killed Jessica). The readers who answer the question below can watch Trivedi at work as he puts together five tracks on June 14th at Film City.
What sets this season apart is that every one of the eight episodes will be musically directed and produced by different composers. Also, this time around almost all songs will be composed especially for the show.
From the line-up we’ve seen, there’s an impressive showcase of indie talent on this one too. There’s Warren Mendonsa, Johan Pais, Jai Row Kavi, Ajay Prasanna, Ashwin, DJ Jayant featuring on the episodes with Karsh Kale and Nitin Sawhney.
Other musical directors on Coke Studio@MTV include Shantanu Moitra, Ehsaan Noorani & Loy Mendonsa, Clinton Cerejo and Hitesh Sonik. Coke Studio@ MTV Season 2 is scheduled to begin airing on MTV India on July 7th.
