What to Expect at Goa’s Malhar & The Sea Festival
A lavish two-day residential event blending music, art, mixology, and gastronomy in a harmonious jugalbandi
A typical music concert usually draws thousands of attendees, all vying for space as they sit or stand in rows, with the artists performing from afar.
These events last a few hours and offer minimal interaction between artists and audiences. Furthermore, attendees often endure long lines for food and drinks, and the event concludes as quickly as it began.
However, Malhar & the Sea is nothing like that.
Held at the ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa on August 30 and 31, this exclusive festival will showcase legends of Indian music across a diverse range of genres, from Indian classical and Sufi Qawwali to Rock, Pop, and Fado.
Designed for intimacy, the festival will host just 150 couples, allowing them to deeply connect with the music while enjoying the luxurious hospitality of ITC Grand Goa and savoring cuisine prepared by world-renowned chefs and mixologists. According to the press release, “Malhar & The Sea is more than just a concert—it’s an immersive experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired. Enjoy world-class hospitality and cuisine, and indulge in celebrity mixologist Beckaly Franks’ expertly crafted cocktails. The event offers an intimate setting and a warm atmosphere for just 400 opinion leaders who will be treated to a weekend of unparalleled entertainment, luxury, and exclusivity.”
The festival features a thoughtfully curated lineup of Indian music icons, including Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Kaushiki Chakraborty, sitar virtuoso Purbayan Chatterjee, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Sufi Qawwal Shivam Bhardwaj, rock legend Gary Lawyer, the UK’s Queen of Pop Kaiya Maxfield, and Fado singer Nadia Rebelo.
Malhar & The Sea tickets are now available on Book My Show and the official website.
