In his previous interview, hip-hop artist PAV4N described his upcoming single “DOOM” as a “Shiva power song.” Produced by U.K. DJ-producer Sukh Knight, the track is out now, featuring PAV4N — the co-founder of erstwhile dubstep/hip-hop act Foreign Beggars — at his warped and imposing best.

The song marks PAV4N’s first collaborative track as a solo artist. He says in a statement, “Working with Sukh has been something I’ve wanted to do since I first heard his music, we’ve spoken much and become great friends over the years and it finally came together for this project.” The song also features London-based Ishani singing a Hindi hook that’s effect-heavy to sound like it was from a yesteryear Bollywood movie.

Following the release of songs like “KARMA” and “STASIS,” this is the third single releasing on the artist’s own label, 4NC¥ (pronounced “foreign currency,”) which formally launched on July 20th. In between, PAV4N also released a quickfire rap song called “Wackenroe,” whose video shows him in his trademark blue-skinned persona. While labels are being launched left, right and center in the Indian music industry, PAV4N clearly can pull his weight around with two decades of experience in hip-hop, dubstep and electronic music in the U.K. and give 4NC¥ a worldwide outlook. In a video to mark the launch, PAV4N mentions he’s about to release music from countries including India, Japan, Turkey, Pakistan, U.K., France and Canada.

He says about the label, “I want to create a global platform for incredible artists and connect scenes from around the world.” PAV4N adds, “With so much societal division and now heavy restrictions on travel, breaking these boundaries and subversion through unity is even more important now than ever before. My dream for 4NC¥ is to facilitate meaningful exchange so artists can break new ground with their careers on a global scale.”
