Editor’s Pick: Aanshika Releases New Synth-Rock Song ‘Leather Jacket’

The Karnal-based singer-songwriter has also put out a music video to accompany the track

Karnal-based singer-songwriter Aanshika is back with new music after releasing her six-track debut EP Colour Bleu last year. The artist’s latest offering is the synth-rock leaning “Leather Jacket.”

The song features distorted guitars, a groovy bass line, Aanshika’s honeyed vocals and more. The track also includes a shimmering guitar solo by Animesh Shukla. “Leather Jacket” has been produced by Abhijay Sharma and BAD Junkie while the latter also mixed and mastered it.

Aanshika has even released a music video to accompany the track in which she is seen performing the song in front of a white wall. A press statement said, “[The] video represents stages of depression visually which ends with a realization of ‘you can control your thoughts.'”
