A$AP Rocky Debuts New Song While Performing From a Helicopter

On Saturday, the rapper headlined his first show since being acquitted on two firearm assault charges

Leave it to A$AP Rocky to make a grand entrance. On Saturday, the rapper arrived to his headlining show at Rolling Loud California 2025 by helicopter.

His set opened with video screens broadcasting footage from A$AP Rocky’s recent trial (he was found not guilty on two firearm assault charges in February). As fan footage captured, he’s then seen hovering above the crowd and stage in a helicopter. He screams, “Let’s go” as he leans out from the black chopper that boasts the initials and the name of his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb.

While seated in the chopper, he performed an unreleased track. Later, he dramatically rappelled from the helicopter on to the stage. The set list included hits such as “A$AP Forever,” “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” and “Tailor Swif” as well as the live debut of several new songs, per Setlist.fm. Skepta also joined him for “Praise the Lord (Da Shine).”

The appearance marked the first time A$AP Rocky has performed live since he was acquitted.

In a February interview with GQ where he discussed his Ray-Ban partnership, the rapper addressed Don’t Be Dumb, which he’s been teasing since at least 2023.

“I think quite frankly, people are tired of hearing about updates about the album. They’re just ready to get this shit, you know what I’m saying?” he told the publication. “I don’t think anybody wants to hear where I’m at with it, how far is it along and all that.”

“They just want to hear some shit just to see where I’m at, and I promise I got some new shit in store. I’m challenging myself,” he continued. “It’s like anything, I approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse.”

“The album’s done,” he added. “I just want to drop it. I don’t want to keep saying what I’m going to do and I want to give people what I’ve been promising them for a long-ass fucking time.”
