Formed in 2008, Adam and The Fish Eyed Poets is the solo project of Kishore Krishna from Chennai. His debut album Snakeism was released as a free download in July 2010.
Recording as Adam & The Fish Eyed Poets ”“ though it’s only him, except for the occasional extra guitar of Vikram Kannan ”“ Krishna delivers songs that do a lot more than just channel his stated influences of Nick Cave, Patti Smith, The Smiths, Sonic Youth, and a whole pantheon of hyper-expressive, mood-drenched rock storytellers. He has released for free download his second album Dead Loops, following last year’s debut Snakeism ”“ much more than a rock obsessive’s archive project. Krishna works with short, compact songs ”“ only three of the 12 tracks on Dead Loops reach the three-minute mark, and then just barely ”“each finding space in that tight frame to travel a full narrative arc.
