Brit soul sensation Adele will be spending the remaining part of her first US tour to undergo a pending throat surgery to repair a hammeorrhaged vocal cord.

Throat specialist Dr. Steven Zeitels, who operated on Steven Tyler for a similar condition, told Rolling Stone, “It’s very fixable, basically. This is not something that’s a deal breaker, even remotely.” Zeitels added that due to Adele’s repeated injuries, surgery has become necessary.

As a result, the 23-year-old singer scrapped her 10-stop U.S. tour earlier this month. “Guys, I’m heartbroken and worried to tell you that I am yet again experiencing problems with my voice,” she wrote on her blog.
