Advaita To Release Album This Month

Advaita by Khushali Shah

It’s the season of record launches and falling in line are New Delhi’s eclectic fusion octet, Advaita. The band will be releasing their second album, The Silent Sea, later this month. Advaita recently performed in Mumbai at the Mumbai Mirror Live Jam at Bandra Fort alongside Indian Ocean.

The Silent Sea, has been in production for a little over a year and will be released on EMI Records. The album was produced at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. The band describes their new album a departure from their previous Grounded in Space, where they explore more sonic themes.

“The songs are more serious and edgier and talk about longing, contemplation, isolation and the journey of the human soul to find truth and peace in the chaos of existence. The Silent Sea is the metaphor for the still, vast truth that is unchanging beneath all our desires and ambitions,” they described on their Facebook page.

The album will be officially released on February 20th, with a two-city album launch tour including performances in  Mumbai and New Delhi on February 22nd and 23rd respectively at Blue Frog.

Meanwhile, watch this MTV Unplugged performance of the title track “The Silent Sea”.
