The 58-year-old icon, known for her melodious voice in Bollywood, shared the news via social media, expressing her need for support during this challenging time.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Yagnik recounted the moment she realized something was amiss: “A few weeks ago, as I walked out of a flight, I suddenly felt I was not able to hear anything.” This revelation marked the beginning of her unexpected journey grappling with the effects of the condition.

Describing the diagnosis as a “sudden, major setback,” she admitted to being taken by surprise and needing time to adjust. Despite the adversity, she remains hopeful and has asked for prayers from her fans and well-wishers as she navigates this new chapter in her life.

Yagnik emphasized the importance of caution, especially for her fans and younger colleagues, regarding exposure to loud music and headphones. Reflecting on her own professional experiences, she hinted at sharing insights into the health risks associated with her career in the future.

Acknowledging the outpouring of concern and queries about her absence from the public eye, Yagnik expressed gratitude for the support and understanding she has received thus far. She closed her message with a poignant plea: “Your support and understanding will mean the world to me in this critical hour.”
