The country’s biggest college band competition takes place tomorrow in Mumbai
Mumbai progressive rock band Alchemy will compete in the Parx Hunt 2018 grand finale.
Lifestyle brand Parx is back with their annual band competition Parx Hunt; with the grand finale taking place at Mumbai’s Hard Rock Café, Worli on October 4th. After regional rounds across the country, the contest is down to the final four bands set to fight it out for the grand prize.
The winners of the regional rounds include Mumbai progressive rock band Alchemy, Chennai alt rockers Oddsox, Kolkata funk outfit Hidden Identity and New Delhi fusion group Common Thread. Pragati Srivastava, Brand Head, Parx, says, “Parx Hunt as a concept is gaining traction with every passing year and the college youth is now increasingly seen resonating with this musical extravaganza.”
The grand finale is set to be hosted by musician-actor Luke Kenny and also includes a headlining set by Kolkata-based alternative rap/rock group Underground Authority who will feature guest artists such as multi-instrumentalist Sidd Coutto, singer Nikhita Gandhi, guitar whiz Rhythm Shaw, fusion/alt-rock artist Anand Bhaskar and more during their performance. Kenny says, “I am looking forward to a fierce competition.”
