All(H)Ours—the K-pop boy group of Kunho, Youmin, Xayden, Minje, Masami, Hyunbin, and On:N—has released its third mini album, Smoke Point—following its previous two albums, All Ours and Witness.

The conceptual underpinnings of Smoke Point include deep thinking, with the album’s title serving as a symbolic representation of the group’s growth—its evolution in musicality and showmanship. Hence, as its sound gets more intense, Smoke Point references the heat and fiery intensity that All(H)Ours unleash on this new offering.

In a press release, band member Kunho said that with Smoke Point, “we plan to show a more upgraded performance and showcase the unique color of All(H)Ours,” blending the “bright mood of ‘Graffiti’” with the “slightly heavier, powerful charisma of ‘Gimme Gimme,’” the album’s double title tracks, to create a juxtaposition that encapsulates the very essence of All(H)Ours’ identity.

The opening track, “Smoke Point,” immediately sets the tone for the record. Mixing an attractive synth bass groove with a dynamic new jack swing rhythm, it teases the sonic explorations to come.

Among the double title tracks, “Graffiti” dropped last month as the pre-release single, followed by the most recent “Gimme Gimme.” Each is a unique insight into All(H)Ours’ diversity, evolving sound, and style. While “Graffiti” has a vivid, youthful vibe, also evidenced by the accompanying video, “Gimme Gimme” emits raw, unapologetic power strengthened even more with a dominating guitar riff and pulsating bassline.

Musically and visually stunning, “Gimme Gimme” displays a futuristic, rural setting full of action-packed sequences and the group’s signature high-octane choreography. The video’s cinematic quality and the members’ compelling on-screen presence work in tandem to create a solid impression, seamlessly integrating the audio and visual components to elevate the song’s overall color and personality.

During the video shoot, as shared in the press statement, Minje enthusiastically described the experience of wearing a high-end camera on his body as a novel and exciting process. “I had seen a clip of Will Smith wearing this same camera and tech while filming Bad Boys 4 and was really excited to be filming in a similar way. Wearing the camera myself while shooting the music video was a very different and new experience for me” —a testament to the group’s creative spirit and a drive to challenge the regular.

The other tracks on the album add to the diversity of All(H)Ours’ music, with “Kings & Queens” blending fast-paced melodies with R&B and hip-hop influences, and “Freaky Fresh” delving into glitchy, synth-driven soundscapes.

Smoke Point’s release indicates the beginning of a new journey for All(H)Ours this year in terms of the different new projects that the septet may have in the pipeline, thus creating a sense of enthusiasm and eagerness among its fans and listeners.
