Amit Trivedi, Andrea Bocelli, Vishal Dadlani and More Join Josh ACT Concert This Week

A ‘Gratitude Anthem’ featuring artists like Benny Dayal, Shilpa Rao, Nikhita Gandhi and more will launch the short video platform’s fundraiser

Indian and international stars will come together for short video app Josh’s new virtual fundraiser concert in association with ACT Grants, a non-profit coalition of Indian startups.

The Josh ACT Concert on July 17th is part of the app’s ‘Breath of Life’ social media campaign focused on gratitude and involving millions of their content creators to share optimism in the midst of the pandemic. Hosted by actor (and occasional rocker) Saif Ali Khan, the three-hour concert features over 40 artists including Italian opera veteran Andrea Bocelli (with son and singer Matteo Bocelli), topline composer-singers such as Amit Trivedi, Vishal Dadlani and Papon, plus powerhouse vocalist Sukhwinder Singh, playback singer Shahid Mallya and rapper-producer Raftaar, among others. Indie artists such as Osho Jain, Dhruv Visvanath, singer-songwriter Ankur Tewari, pop-rock band Faridkot, fusion act Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café, Sonam Kalra, Aabha Hanjura, Mali will also perform for the Josh ACT Concert. Public service announcements as well as and skits around COVID-19 guidelines and relief efforts will also be interspersed with performances. The concert will be broadcast from 5 pm onwards on Zee Café as well as streaming on Josh, DailyHunt and the Facebook and Instagram handles of Josh.

The campaign will also see more music in the form of a “Gratitude Anthem” composed by Amit Trivedi, featuring the voices of 11 artists including Bhoomi Trivedi, Nikhita Gandhi, Shilpa Rao, Mohammed Irfan and Benny Dayal.
