Two Indian artists will make their way to U.K. Tech-Fest in July 2018 ”“ multinational avant-garde group Amogh Symphony and New Delhi Indian classical prog metal artist Rishabh Seen.

Tech-Fest, which has previously hosted prog metallers Skyharbor in 2013, will be the Europe exclusive debut for Seen ”“ who has become globally known for his sitar renditions of artists such as Animals As Leaders and Meshuggah as well as his own work with his band Mute the Saint. Tech-Fest is the first confirmed show for Amogh Symphony, who are working to release their album IV in early 2018 and also their first ever live performances across Europe.

Amogh Symphony’s guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Vishal J. Singh says, “They contacted us sometime back and asked us to play in U.K. Tech-Fest. We are excited. I hope they like our new sound. We have some wonderful fans in U.K. who’ve been quite supportive since years. So, I guess it’s a good start.”

Seen, for his part, is elated to be getting on stage after spending quite some time trying to take his music outside of India. “Stepping on a stage at such a metal festival is not only opening a new chapter in the history of sitar playing, but is  giving me a chance to strike so hard that the world lends its eyes, ears and opportunistic hands to this part of the world, to see India’s unbelievable potential,” Seen says.

U.K. Tech-Fest ”“ which takes place between July 5th and 9th ”“ announced their first wave lineup yesterday, which also includes headline sets by American prog band The Contortionist, deathcore act The Acacia Strain, instrumental rock band Tides From Nebula, Copenhagen’s eclectic metal outfit VOLA and more.
