AP Dhillon returns to India for a three-city tour on the back of releasing his nine-track EP The Brownprint via Republic Records.
The “Brown Munde” hitmaker, who recently collaborated with the likes of rapper Gunna, African pop artists Ayra Starr and more, will be back in India starting Dec. 7 in Mumbai, going on to perform in New Delhi on Dec. 14 and in Chandigarh on Dec. 21. The singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer will be joined on stage by his long-time collaborator Shinda Kahlon.
Tickets go on sale on Sept. 29, 2024 at 12 pm on Insider.in. Ticket prices range from ₹1,999 to ₹19,999 divided into two silver and gold categories.
Dhillon last toured in 2021 and previously performed a set at Lollapalooza India’s debut edition in early 2023. The artist says in a statement, “I’m incredibly excited to be returning to India for my tour. The love and support I’ve received from Indian fans has been overwhelming. I can’t wait to reconnect with them and share the energy of The Brownprint live.”
The tour promises shows that amp up the production game, with a “360-degree concert stage design.” A press release adds, “This innovative stage, a first for the event industry in India, promises to offer an immersive and inclusive experience for all attendees, regardless of their ticket type.”
The AP Dhillon Brownprint India Tour is being promoted and produced by live events and entertainment company White Fox India. The company’s co-founder Aman Kumar adds in his statement, “We’re thrilled to bring AP Dhillon back to India for The Brownprint Tour. His previous tours have been nothing short of phenomenal, and we’re confident that his upcoming tour will surpass all expectations. Attendees can look forward to a seamless and extraordinary music spectacle that will celebrate the supremacy of the brown community.”
In addition to Gunna, Ayra Starr, Punjabi pop veteran Jazzy B as well as his go-to collaborator Shinda Kahlon, The Brownprint also brought in Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt for the video to the lead single “Old Money.” More recently, Dhillon turned music video director for the song “After Midnight.”
