Completing more than three decades in action, singer-composer A.R. Rahman is celebrating his milestone in the music industry with a new live show called Wonderment – The Tour, which will premiere on May 3 at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Rahman’s Wonderment concerts will see the Maestro of Madras experiment with elements of technology in a new and immersive way, promising to blend his music with conceptual visuals and storytelling. Developed with help from event promoters Percept Live and entertainment company Fair Game Entertainment, the Academy award-winner’s show will later travel across 16 cities in North America between July and August 2025, from Vancouver to Boston.
Touted as his “most ambitious musical production,” a press release states that Rahman intends to “redefine the concert experience” with Wonderment – The Tour. The event will also showcase surprise acts in addition to notable singers who have collaborated with Rahman over the years, plus international artists joining the composer on stage.
Rahman adds in a statement, “With Wonderment, our aim was to convey the aspect that every note, every rhythm, tells a story. I hope to merge tradition with innovation, bringing together the past and the future in a celebration of music. Mumbai’s energy and spirit are unmatched, and it’s a joy to bring this unique musical experience to the heart of the city.”
Tickets go live on District on April 3 for the stadium show.
