Bengali hip-hop artist Archiesman Kundu’s new song “Shoishob” sees him keep his confidence high as he pens down his thoughts on childhood, navigating life and understanding how it’s not as easy as one thinks.

The song, produced by his go-to collaborator Rawhit, comes with a slick music video directed by filmmaker Eneru, who captures Kundu amidst skateboarders as well as roaming the city after finding himself (presumably) sleepless and restless at 2 AM. Among the flexes that Kundu makes in the video is getting behind the wheel of a Jaguar and taking it for a drive.

The artist says in a statement about the song, “’Shoishob’ – meaning ‘childhood’ in Bengali and symbolizing the ability to tolerate all challenges while nurturing one’s artistic side and studies […] – serves as a platform to convey [my] personal struggles and experiences.”

The song arrives on the back of a fairly productive year for Kundu so far – releasing tracks across languages like “Seeth Kaal,” “Tu Chahiye,” “Bolbi Na,” “HipHop” and “Hype Alag.” In June, he teamed up with New York artist Zak Downtown and Mexican hip-hopper Phyzh Eye for the song “Zones.”
