The pop artist and his partner cycle through parks, hop on and off buses and get close in the wholesome music video
Pop artist Armaan Malik’s new English song “Sleepless Nights” comes with a dose of nostalgia for anyone missing London, with the music video for the love song showcasing the singer-songwriter and his partner spending a summer day out on the town.
Written back in 2019, the song is co-written with Los Angeles-based Indian artist Natania Lalwani and produced and mixed by Jordan Palmer. In the video directed by filmmaker Nizar Shad, the chocolate boy charm of Malik matches with his affable pop vocals that celebrate love and quality time spent with a partner. From bed to breakfast to taking out bicycles together and the famous Hop-On-Hop-Off bus journeys, Malik and his partner stay intimate in London.
Malik calls “Sleepless Nights” – which follows Hindi songs like “Dil Malanga,” “HIIR” and “Tabaahi” and his English song “You” from 2022 – one of his personal favorites. He adds in a statement, “Since London is my favorite city in world and the lyric from the song carried its name, it was a no brainer to film the music video right in the heart of London. From capturing shots of the Tower Bridge, atop London’s famous Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus to cycling in Hyde Park, and eating ice cream under the London Eye, I believe we have captured the true essence of the city and had a lot of fun while we were at it.”
The song had a bit of timely promo with Malik’s birthday last month, on July 22nd. “I never ever reveal my song before the actual drop, but I just couldn’t contain my excitement to share this particular record with everyone,” he adds.
