Asian Artists Reign Over ‘Shang-Chi-Legend And The Legend Of The Ten Rings’ OST

From DPR to Zion T, GOT7’s Mark Tuan, Bibi and more, Marvel’s latest project employs celebrated Asian musicians to build the film’s sonic identity

Starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Fala Chen and Michelle Yeoh, Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings has been stirring quite the excitement since its announcement. Hailed for an Asian-led crew and cast, Marvel has recruited an equally inclusive team of Asian musicians to curate the film’s official album.

Featuring Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian artists, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings: The Album brings together some of the world’s leading Asian vocalists and rappers in its soundscape. Exclusively produced by the international media collective 88rising along with its CEO and Founder Sean Miyashiro, the album houses 18 distinct tracks featuring artists such as DPR LIVE, DPR IAN, GOT7’s Mark Tuan, Bibi, Zion.T, Seori, Anderson Paak, Keshi and the film’s leading man Simu Liu.

Available across streaming platforms, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings: The Album is a celebration of Asian heritage and the Asian-American experience. Aimed at blending styles and sounds from different artists, the album seeks to embody the growth and character arcs in the story whilst sharing stories that resonate with those outsides of the cinematic universe.
