Last date for entries and voting for the contest is October 5th
The fourth edition of Harley Rock Riders comes to a close on October 12th, with a grand finale featuring performances by electro pop band Shaa’ir + Func, Chennai alt rockers Junkyard Groove and hard rock band Overhung. Three winners from the Find Your Freedom contest will also get a spot to play at the finale, competing for a chance to perform at European Bike Week 2014 in Austria.
The contest, which started along with the Pune edition of Harley Rock Riders Season IV in August, has received 113 entries and over 43,000 votes so far. Among the top five voted-for bands are Assam glam metal band Filharmonix, with the highest number of votes so far.
Two Ahmedabad bands – prog rockers Immortal Knights and metal band Spikedhead ”“ are also among the five leading bands. Delhi experimental metal band Third Eye Destruction and Pune metalcore/nu-metal band have also snagged an impressive number of votes so far. While the number of votes will get bands closer to the finale, after public voting draws to a close on October 5th, the final three bands will be chosen through a combination of public vote and a judges vote. The panel of judges includes singer-songwriter Sidd Coutto, music channel 9XO’s programming head Luke Kenny and ROLLING STONE India editor Lalitha Suhasini.Â
The winning band will also be selected by the three-member jury at the grand finale.
