The ‘Woh Lamhe’ singer’s first gig of the year takes him to Coca-Cola Arena on March 2nd
Pakistani singer Atif Aslam heads to Dubai this March, for a collaborative performance with the Firdaus Orchestra ensemble, which is mentored by A.R. Rahman. Aslam will perform Bollywood hits like “Woh Lamhe,” (from Zeher in 2005) “Tu Jaane Na” and “Tera Hone Laga Hoon” (both from 2009’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani) on March 2nd at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
The concert comes almost exactly a year after Aslam and Firdaus Orchestra’s first performance together, which took place on March 6th, 2023, also at the Coca-Cola Arena. Back then, the setlist included everything from “Woh Lamey” to “Nadaan Parindey” to “Aadat” and more. This time around, a press release mentions that songs like “Doorie” and “O Saathi” will also be part of the setlist.
Aslam said in a statement about the show, “Last year has been exceptionally special personally and in my musical endeavors as well. Eagerly anticipating the start of 2024 with this special concert, marking it as my first blessing for the year. The lively and enthusiastic audience in Dubai always embraces my music and consistently joins in, crafting an enduring harmony.”
In mid-2023, the singer announced a Europe tour to mark 20 years in Pakistani and Bollywood music, including a stop at London’s OVO Wembley Arena.
The Dubai event, for its part, is put together by event and lifestyle management company Blu Blood (their first Bollywood concert this year), with promoters including Eva Live Middle East and Midas Events.
Prior to Atif Aslam’s Dubai concert, everyone from composer-singer Anirudh Ravichander to AP Dhillon to Sonu Nigam are performing at the Coca-Cola Arena. In April, India’s most-streamed artist Arijit Singh heads to Dubai as well, performing on April 27th.
