The Swedish DJ cancels two-city India tour due to poor health
Just when March and April were looking like the biggest months for EDM fans in India, Swedish electro house DJ Avicii has called off his India tour citing health reasons.
Ticketing website Bookmyshow posted a notice on their homepage saying: “Due to the poor health of Avicii, we regret to inform you that the much awaited event ”˜Sunburn Arena Avicii India tour’ has been cancelled. We would notify the existing ticket holders with the further course of action.”
Avicii’s India shows were scheduled to take place in Mumbai on April 6th and in Delhi on April 7th as part of Sunburn Arena, which also includes gigs by other leading EDM artists such as Tiesto and Swedish House Mafia.Â
Though the India tour is off, Avicii is still playing in Asia next month, on April 4th at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.Â
