Axwell Announced As Sunburn 2025 Headliner
The Swedish House Mafia member returns to India to close out the three-day EDM festival on Dec. 21, 2025 in Mumbai

Swedish progressive house star Axwell will return to India in December, headlining the third and final day of electronic music festival Sunburn in Mumbai on Dec. 21, 2025.
Axwell joins artists like David Guetta, techno producer Sara Landry, Richie Hawtin, Indo Warehouse’s Kahani and Kunal Merchant, Mathame and DubVision B2B Third Party at the upcoming edition of Sunburn, which takes place at Infinity Bay in Sewri, Mumbai from Dec. 19 to Dec. 21, 2025.

Axwell has been a regular in India for decades, performing as early as 2007, headlining Sunburn in Goa in 2011, then visiting with Swedish House Mafia in 2013 for a highly-anticipated tour. In the years since, he’s also performed in India as part of the electronic duo Axwell^Ingrosso (with fellow Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso) in 2018. Most recently, Axwell also performed at a mid-inning show at Chennai’s M. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in 2024 for the Indian Premier League.
One-third of Swedish House Mafia (SHM) with Ingrosso and Steve Angello, Axwell has been known for songs like “Heaven Takes You Home,” “Sun Is Shining,” “Don’t You Worry Child,” “Something New” and “In My Mind” with SHM and as a solo artist, finding acclaim on dancefloors around the world.
