B Praak Plots Nationwide Tour Kicking Off This Month

Soon after leading hit songs like “Meri Jaan Meri Jaan” from Bollywood film ‘Bachchan Pandey,’ the Punjabi pop artist has been roped in for ZEE Live’s Supermoon gig series

Pop and Bollywod singer-composer B Praak aka Pratik Bachan is getting locked and loaded for a large-scale tour starting this month, as part of gig series Supermoon by ZEE Live.

Kicking off on May 28th in Mumbai, B Praak’s King of Hearts Tour has confirmed shows in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad so far. Best known for Punjabi and Hindi songs as a solo artist as well as for film soundtracks, B Praak was previously part of Supermoon’s House Party virtual gig in August 2020.

This time around, the artist hopes to pack the on-ground experience with all kinds of elements. “The concert will be in a symphony format with some exciting numbers and to engage with thousands of fans. This is a never-done-before concert and I’ve been waiting to do something similar,” he says in an email interview. The singer further explains the “symphony format,” which means he’s going to be joined by a 30- to 32-piece band. “The setlist won’t have just my original scores. I’ve also created some exclusive numbers to perform and entertain my fans,” he adds.

B Praak will bring the party-friendly hits he’s grown famous for over the last decade or so, including Punjabi songs like “Hornn Blow” and “Mann Bharrya.” In 2019, he helmed the music for “Pachtaoge,” sung by Arijit Singh. In the last three years, B Praak has been a regular fixture on Bollywood soundtracks, from Bala (“Naah Goriye”) to Shershaah (“Ranjha”) and Kesari (“Teri Mitti”) while also releasing his own Hindi songs like “Mazaa.” Most recently, he notched up several million streams for “Meri Jaan Meri Jaan,” from the soundtrack for action film Bachchan Pandey.

There are several Bollywood projects in the works through 2022 as well, but for now, B Praak is keen to hit the road. Although a tour of Europe and the U.K. was slated for March, it’s being rescheduled at the moment. There’s also a 10-city tour through India in the works. He adds, “On the personal front, you may know that 2022 is super special as Meera [Bachan, wife] and I are expecting our second baby. So, all in all I’m super excited for everything – from Supermoon  to the King of Hearts Tour to my new releases and the new member in my life.”
