Bad Bunny Is the Biggest Artist of 2025 on Spotify With 19.8 Billion Streams

There’s no doubt about it, 2025 was Bad Bunny‘s year. On Wednesday, Spotify released its annual Spotify Wrapped data, confirming that the Puerto Rican star is the year’s most-streamed artist in the world with 19.8 billion streams.

Bad Bunny dethroned Taylor Swift, who topped the list for two years in a row before 2025. Bad Bunny returns to the top after having the most streams in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Rounding out the Top Five for this year are the Weeknd at Number 3, Drake at Number 4, and Billie Eilish at Number 5. Two international stars, Hindi singer Arijit Singh and música mexicana group Fuerza Régida, round out the Top 10 at ninth and 10th place.

Newly added to Spotify’s Wrapped dataset is a ranking of top albums, which features Benito’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos at the top. The soundtrack for KPop Demon Hunters is in second place, Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft lands in the third spot, SZA’s SOS Deluxe: Lana comes in at Number 4, while Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet takes fifth place.

Spotify and Bad Bunny will celebrate the streaming milestone by hosting a Global Film Launch, an easter egg search on the platform, and fan experiences, including a sapo concho cartoon hovering over the play button when fans listen to his music.

On the Global Songs list, Gaga and Mars’ “Die With a Smile” tops the list globally with 1.7 billion streams, Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” lands at Number 2, “APT.” by Rosé and Mars hit Number 3, “Ordinary” by Alex Warren hit Number 4, and “DtMF” by Bad Bunny lands at Number 5.

Spotify also shared U.S.-specific data, which sees Taylor Swift top the Artists list, “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA reaches Number One on the songs list, and I’m the Problem by Morgan Wallen hit first place on the albums list for the U.S. Those interested can view the data on Spotify’s Wrapped hub.

As part of the data release, Spotify users are also able to access their personalized streaming data, snapshots of their most memorable streaming days, and “Wrapped Party,” a feature that lets friends do a live competition based on their listening data.
