Band to Watch: Team Spirit

Former Passion Pit synth player unleashes fast, furious garage-pop

Published by

Team Spirit frontman Ayad Al Adhamy used to lay down lush synths for Passion Pit, but now he’s burning up frets with this new garage-pop band. Here, the Brooklyn rockers rip through searing guitar licks and thundering drums on “Jesus, He’s Alright.” There’s so much energy onstage, the room can barely contain Al Adhamy.

“Jesus, He’s Alright” is on Team Spirit’s new EP, Team Spirit, out now.
