Beatoven.ai is Here to Help You Overcome Royalty Barriers

The music-tech startup will empower music producers with new revenue streams and provide content creators and advertising professionals with affordable and easy access to royalty-free music

Jul 02, 2022

With the creator economy booming and copyright laws becoming tighter by the day, the need for royalty-free music has risen exponentially. Creators and advertisers rely heavily on the power of music to complement their content as well as relay emotions true to their brand or product. Yet, stringent copyright laws adhered to by social media platforms make the content curation process back-breaking.

To help curb this new-age problem, Beatoven.ai – India’s first ever AI-driven music tech start-up – is here to provide a platform for music composers to create royalty-free, affordable, easy-to-license, exclusive and mood-based music. Co-founded by Mansoor Rahimat Khan and Siddharth Bhardwaj, Beatoven.ai’s web-based application empowers content creators with the necessary tools to create and customize using the software’s in-built mood-based tunes spanning multiple genres. With Beatoven.ai, content creators can pick tunes from a library rich in cinematic, Indian, indie, ambient, hip-hop, electronic, pop and R&B genres.

The subscription-based platform believes in the power of collaboration between artists and technology. Powered by a stellar roster of artists including Khalid Ahmed, sitarist Asad Khan, Ustad Chhote Rahimat Khan, singer-songwriter duo Merak, electronic producer Three Oscillators, New York-based pianist Maham Riaz, Indie Routes and Anand Bhaskar Collective’s guitarist Hrishi Giridhar, and Sanjog Bhushan (Trix), Beatoven.ai is fueled by the creation of artists globally. Through its innovative technology, the organization aims to empower 2,000 artists globally within the span of a year.

“The technology used by Beatoven.ai generates completely original royalty-free music that content creators can use without the hassle of copyright issues,” comments Khan, co-founder and CEO, Beatoven.ai. “Till date, Beatoven.ai has helped generate more than 1,000 music tracks that have already been used in various mediums.” He adds that more than 400 minutes of music have already been downloaded, and 10,000+ minutes of music data has been contributed.

Bhardwaj, co-founder and CTO, delves deeper into the technical aspects that make the model sustainable for both consumers and musicians: “AI music relies on software programs and algorithms to learn and evolve by listening to millions of songs and pieces, recognizing patterns to create music,” he explains. “The technology used for Beatoven.ai is a mix of artificial intelligence and music theory, which helps musicians compose music based on their preferences. The onset of AI does not replace human art, but will augment and complement artists to spur a golden span of creativity.”

Beatoven.ai‘s ambitious plans are backed with results. According to the organization, the platform has more than 1,000 users and 150 musicians contributing data – figures the start-up crunched in even before the official launch.
